Hetham Karky

Hetham Karky is a bilingual Licensed Paralegal and Notary Public in Ontario, providing a wide range of services in Arabic and English within the paralegal scope as well as notary public services.

He is a Jordanian lawyer, researcher, and educator. He was a visiting scholar at Western Law/Western University and the Director of the Rights and Responsibilities Awareness Initiative.

Hetham holds a PhD in Business International Law from the University of Jordan, Faculty of Law (thesis title: Unit-Trust under the WTO Agreement). His PhD thesis was supported by a grant from the World Trade Organization Chair Programme, and he was recognized by the University of Jordan for cultural creativity.

Hetham has been named to the 2025 Mayor’s New Year’s Honour List for Diversity and Race Relations, a recognition of his dedication to fostering inclusivity and promoting equity within the community.

Academic Role:
Hetham is a Professor at Fanshawe College’s Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, where he teaches courses in business law, international trade law, and legal strategies. He is passionate about educating the next generation of business leaders and legal professionals.

Hetham has published numerous research papers and working papers in well-known journals and international organizations, including Canada, the US, the UK, OECD, UNCTAD, as well as Jordan.

Hetham is fluent in both English and Arabic, ensuring accessible and personalized legal services for a diverse range of clients. His ability to communicate in multiple languages reflects his commitment to inclusivity and client-focused support.
